Restraining Order Triggers Gun Seizure
O’Keefe announced the seizure Thursday night, stating police arrived at his O’Keefe Media Group office and removed all his firearms. The confiscation stems from a Miami-Dade family court temporary restraining order Tyrmand obtained against O’Keefe. The restraining order was served earlier this month while O’Keefe was livestreaming from his West Palm Beach headquarters. O’Keefe noted the profound irony, stating Tyrmand had admitted multiple times on hidden camera wanting O’Keefe dead and even shot bullets through O’Keefe’s heart on his book cover.
Project Veritas Board Coup Background
Tyrmand served on the Project Veritas board that removed O’Keefe as chairman in February 2023, despite O’Keefe building the organization into a multi-million-dollar investigative journalism operation. After his removal, O’Keefe launched O’Keefe Media Group, which quickly achieved significant success. In February, O’Keefe recorded Tyrmand at a Miami Beach restaurant where Tyrmand allegedly admitted to being an FBI-Southern District of New York informant. During that encounter, Tyrmand reportedly threatened to murder O’Keefe and showed him rifle bullets placed through O’Keefe’s heart on the book cover.
